WARREN CONNECTICUT and NEW YORK NEW YORK – We woke up on a foggy morning in Connecticut to drive to New York and the Lower East Side to join some friends who had organized a tour of the Tenement Museum and the Eldridge Street Synagogue. Worth a voyage.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – This was a productive day. A bit of a surprise. I spent most of the day closeted away preparing for two client board meetings later in the week and finishing The Magic Mountain for a meeting of my book group tonight. Today’s images nonetheless aren’t bad and were plentiful enough that I found it difficult to edit them.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I found myself in an area on the far West Side of Manhattan that used to be called Hell’s Kitchen, did time as home for auto showrooms and repair shops, and is now morphing into a modern, densely packed residential area. Here’s an image of some construction in progress. The Manhattan apartment retail market is very tight for renters, but as all this space hits the market should we expect a bust?
