SKYLINE DRIVE VIRGINIA – Our tourism schedule called for the Skyline Drive today – on of the great scenic routes in the country, located in the Shenandoah Mountains here in Western Virginia. There was just one unanticipated problem. Fog. Dense, can’t see the road in front of the car fog. The images are actually the best of our trip.

WASHINGTON VIRGINIA – I spent a good part of the day updating the engine behind my website. There’s a new look (which isn’t necessarily better than the old look – just different) which plays better with mobile devices than the old one. According to Google about 90% of you view this site on a mobile device.

We drove about five hours down to Virginia today for a long weekend at Inn at Little Washington, a lovely inn where an old friend, Patrick O’Connell, presides as chef. I got a few images in the village but they didn’t amount to much because the skies were overcast and the light was flat.
