NEW YORK NEW YORK – Have I mentioned my neck spasms – I’ve been trying to function for the past four or five days with a lot of pain: major spasms in my neck. Serious enough that I’ve actually slept sitting up in a chair for the past four nights. So my output of photos has been crimped a bit. Today I got out and managed a half dozen images but didn’t notice a massive greasy finger print on my lens, a mistake that I wouldn’t make had I been feeling a bit more normal. Sunday (yesterday) was my low point so I was reduced to photographing the top of a weathered table.

On this day last year (day 1970): Bad storm Yes, on March 7, 2015 in Connecticut we were laboring under the effects of a really bad storm. Early Spring can be a little tricky here.

On this day five years ago (day 484) 23rd Street shot with film. As I noted five years ago this image was shot with chromogenic film: a black and white film that is processed using color processing. The effect is oddly similar to a weak infra red effect – not really all that attractive and nothing like traditional black and white film.
