NEW YORK NEW YORK – Another day in the southern regions of an Arctic airmass. I find myself bringing home images of the 432 Park pencil tower, whether I intend to or not.
Day 1,952 of one photo every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day 126): Vietnam Memorial in DC, shot in infrared.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – From a visual standpoint the recent run of savage weather here has created a real winter playground, but I’m getting tired of it. Call it windchill fatigue. I tried to shake things up today by digging out my superwide 15mm Carl Zeiss superlens. It’s ok but doesn’t do much to hide my disgust with my surroundings.

On this day last year (day 1,586): Out my window in infrared.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – We’re here for the three day Presidnts Day weekend, pretty much snowed in. Very high winds and low temperatures bring with wind chill down to -20 degrees F. Basil the Norwich Terrier refuses to step out of the house so we have to make an accommodation for him in the garage. There is a landscape out there, but photographing it is an unappealing process. I did nonetheless manage a few images of windswept landscape.

On this day five years ago (day 123): Icy sunrise. We seem to have a theme here in rural northwestern Connecticut in mid-February.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – I shot around our neighborhood today. Sometimes this time of year the cold crisp days produce lovely light. Sometimes it’s just ordinary daylight. Today I caught ordinary plus, but not quite lovely.
Day 1,947 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day last year (day 1,583): Storm. There are quite of few of these.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – I had an inside day today with bad weather outside and a lot to do in front of a computer. This leaves three choices for my daily photo: an interior of our apartment, a close up detail, on an “out my window”. I guess a selfie or a picture of our dog would be possible but I’ve banned those subjects from these pages. And of course there is Maria but she get irritable when I sneak up on her with a camera. There was a light snow so I opted to shoot out the window. On the tag cloud on the administrator’s side of this website the word “snow” is getting bigger and bigger.
Day 1,946 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day 120): Infrared image of the then-Ferrari dealership on Park Avenue.
