UDAIPUR INDIA – Another ancient city.
Day 1,932 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day 106): Manhattan shot in infra red.
UDAIPUR INDIA – Another ancient city.
Day 1,932 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day 106): Manhattan shot in infra red.
JAWAI LEOPARD CAMP – I got rather poor results from our walk here this morning so I shot a few things around the camp before we departed.
Day 1,931 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day 105): Hughues de Montelambert.
NEAR UDAIPUR INDIA – Still at the Leopard camp. We’ve seen a few leopards but not close enough to photograph (we really didn’t expect to capture any images of them because we didn’t come equipped to shoot wildlife). The scenery here is sensational; this semi-arid area reminds me of Southern Utah, but built in granite rather than sandstone.
Day 1930 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day last year (day 1,565): Old lens. I spent this day last year exploring the capabilities of an 85mm Carl Zeiss lens from 1939 – one of a number of vintage lenses that I shoot on my Leica Monochrom. Not a very interesting picture.
NEAR UDAIPUR INDIA – Some days are better than others. This was one of the better days. We finished up at the Leopard camp with a morning walk through an agricultural area, and on the way to Udaipur stopped at a remarkable Jain temple. I had trouble editing so I’m posting a mini gallery. The dome is 22 (!) frames stitched.
Day 1,929 of one photo every day for the rest of my life.
On this day three years ago (day 833): Birds. A Hitchcockesque moment.
NEW DELHI INDIA and ON THE ROAD – We spent the morning decompressing a bit in our hotel, and then on the road to a tented leopard camp.
Day 1,928 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day three years ago (day 832): Beach, Naples Florida.
AGRA INDIA – Well, I couldn’t decide which of the Taj Mahal pictures is best so you’re going to have to suffer through a mini gallery today. This is one of the place with great visual mojo – beyond merely being beautiful and an icon. It invite languid exploration.
Day 1,927 of one photo every day for the rest of my life.
On this day two years ago (day 1,197): Third Avenue.
AGRA INDIA – We made a long trek down to Agra today to see the Taj Mahal.
Day 1,926 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.
On this day last year (day 1,561): Hotel Pickwick.
