WARREN CONNECTICUT – You’ve heard me complain about April in Warren. Here is more dirty snow.

Day 2004 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

On this day last year (day 1,638): Back Gate. As I’ve edited images from the past ten years this one has stood out as a favorite. No big deal. I was just their at a good moment with a camera.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – In most of the Northern Hemisphere April is a sensational month. Think Spring full on in Hyde Park, London. But not in rural New England. This is the muddy month. The month of dirty snow as banks and drifts melt, concentrating whatever besides snow is there. Here you go with two images, as always taken with my Leica Monochrom.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Suffering from the “blahs” today. I’ve been shooting the back door spaces behind buildings without great success. Here is one from today. I think I need to bear down and really work on this thread.

PARIS – We went to a show of French glass at the Louvre before I had to get on a plane for New York.

PARIS – Last full day here. I walked through the Place de la Concord and across the Seine looking to end up at the Musée d’Orsay, one of my favorite places here. In the end it was too nice a day to spend any portion of it inside so I just walked, and brought home a bunch of touristy-looking images. The hazard of perfect weather.

Day 2,000 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life. That’s right. 2,000 days without a miss. We’re breaking out Champaign here.

MORTEFONTAINE and PARIS FRANCE – We left Mortefontaine for Paris this morning. After doing a bit of work I took the subway to the Bois de Boulogne to visit the new, highly acclaimed Fondation Louis Vuitton, a Frank Gehry structure that will house a collection in formation. The building is a triumph, Bilbao with translucent glass substituted for the titanium. I’ll be back.

MORTEFONTAINE FRANCE – We spent a perfect Easter weekend with friends in the countryside near this village north of Paris. The light was between interesting and lovely so I had trouble editing: you’re going to have to suffer through four images.
