MANHATTAN – Somehow trees thrive in this highly urban setting, a fact that interests me endlessly.

On August 21 in 2010 we were on a game drive in the Serengeti; on August 21 in 2017 we were experiencing an eclipse in Columbia SC. I chose the game drive for today.
