QUEENS NEW YORK – This was a travel day back from Frankfurt. As you may remember I have a lot of trouble getting decent images on travel days. The light was appealing when I arrived at JFK, so I opened the taxi window and shot with my baby Ricoh, which did a remarkable job of stopping motion and otherwise performing well.

WANNSEE and POTSDAM – We took an outing from Berlin today to these popular lakeside villages. The light was stunning. Note that those are potatoes on Frederick the Great’s modest tombstone – he is credited with introducing the spud into Germany.
