MANHATTAN – Shooting film again today. Covering familiar ground in the rain.
Day 3754 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

On this day three years ago (day 2659 of one photo every day): Baru Island Colombia.

MANHATTAN – More film. I shot a couple of rolls of film with my Hasselblad Superwide C camera today. I chose familiar subjects as I get my hands and mind around film technique – an art that I had mastered long ago and am in the process of relearning.
Day 3753 of one photograph every day for the rest of your life.
On this day five years ago (day 1927 of one photograph every day): the Taj Mahal.
MANHATTAN – While on 11th Avenue yesterday I spotted a potential abstract shot but didn’t have time to actually do it. So I came back today.
Day 3752 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day 1926 of one photo every day): Taj Mahal.
MANHATTAN – I started the day on the far West Side in the 50s doing digital images. I finished near home shooting film in my new, used Hasselblad Superwide C. I’m pushing working with film so I can make every mistake possible (leaving home without a dark slide, shooting with the lens cap on, etc.), learning along the way.
Day 3751 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
This one came out nicely. I framed so that the door was centered in the square format. In processing the film I didn’t mix the developer sufficiently, so the top of the film was streaked and over-cooked. That’s the left side of the image, which I had to crop off, leaving an asymetrical image. Probably better than the concept I had shooting.
On this date five years ago (day 1825 of one photo every day): Jaipur India. I’ve re-edited this day.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Some full frontal structures in good winter light. Shooting film still. It’s a major time sink, and very much like having a job, doing film on a daily basis. Shooting with a Hasselblad Superwide C on Tri-X film.
Day 3748 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this date six years ago (day 1558 of one photo every day): Yosemite.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Still experimenting with the Hasselblad Superwide, shooting film. The first image is with film; I really like the rendering of the snow, which is difficult to get right. The second image is a digital capture – a bit unfair because the light wasn’t as interesting.
Day 3748 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day eight years ago (day 827 of one photograph every day): Williamsburg.
