NEW YORK NEW YORK – I spent a few hours meeting in a friend’s office and multitasked a bit, watching for the shadows to be in just the right places.
Day 2572 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day two years ago (day 1843): Marine Corps Recruit Depot. From my Quantico reunion – for some reason the Marine Corps has a stronger hold on me than any other institution in my life.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – I drove up here for the day to check on the progress on construction and to pick up the dogs. Full throated fall foliage.

VERSAILLES FRANCE – Here we are in the suburb of Paris staying overnight because we could not manage a same day connection from Brittany to New York. The hotel that we are in, a charming boutique with the inevitable Michelin starred restaurant, backs onto a large wood that includes a monument to Corot and undoubtedly many of the landscapes that he painted.

BRITTANY FRANCE – Another long day with many images. This is close to the end of our stay here so you won’t have to put up with galleries much longer.

BRITTANY FRANCE – We covered a lot of ground today. The weather reminded me of Maine – intermittent heavy fog. Very atmospheric. Tough to edit so I’m showing a ten image gallery today.
Day 2568 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

NEVEZ and CONCARNEAU FRANCE – So here we are in Brittany, also known as Finistere for the name that the Romans gave it: end of the Earth. Brittany juts out into the North Atlantic – there is a strong sense that he next stop to the West is Newfoundland. The weather is highly variable. The tide fall is said to be five meters or more. We’re staying at a wonderful hotel (with a Michelin starred restaurant) out at the end of a point of land. All images in Nevez from my Leica Monochrom with 18mm and 24mm lenses. Images in Concarneau with 50mm and 75mm lenses, in most cases with multiple frames stitched.
Sorry for the large number of images. I had trouble editing down to one today.
