NEW YORK NEW YORK – The magic hour comes at different times of day here than in real landscape (where the magic hour is just before sunset and just after sunrise). At the classical magic hours it’s still dark at street level here. The Manhattan magic hour comes at mid morning when the sun is high enough to reflect off of buildings providing lovely dapple light. Here you go. All shot with my Leica Monochrom.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – I drove up here today to pick up the dogs (they stayed here while we were in Cartagena) and to meet with contractors, wrapping up the building project that we started last summer. We should be finished by the end of February. I got the drone out in good light at the top of Tanner Hill Road here.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Not a nice day, visually. The overcast provided dull, flat light. The city suffered under a coat of dirty snow residue, which I photographed (I’ve done this before, but blessedly not too often).
