WARREN CONNECTICUT – I flew my drone today in the late afternoon hoping to catch shadows and textures on the eight or so inches of ice that winter has deposited on the landscape. This is what I saw.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – I was driving along in the late afternoon when there occurred a moment of miraculous good light. My general rule in these circumstances is to drop everything and start shooting, no matter how mundane the subject. The subject, a telephone pole, was mundane indeed.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – It’s very, very cold here, which discourages any sort of outdoor activity. I did my shooting near the house.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – I drove up here on some errands at town hall (which is only open in the morning Monday through Thursday – not convenient for a weekender). A real cold snap. Things seem frozen mid-sentence. Here we are at the Warren Town Cemetery shot with my Leica M10-P.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – This is one of those rare places where it can truly be said that “there is no there there”. Here’s the view from the cemetery shot with my Leica M10-P and the current 35mm Summicron lens.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – Some of our local deciduous trees. I’ve been struggling with this landscape for decades. I spotted this point of view some time ago and finally got around to shooting it today with my Leica M10-P.
