Out my window

Manhattan New York – Not so interesting an image today – the former Triborough Bridge out my window. I’ve done this before under more interesting circumstances. Like four years ago in the fog with a longer lens.

On this date four years ago (day 1,542): Also the RFK bridge.. It was called the Triborough Bridge back then.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – What a crappy day. I could have gone out and captured images in the pouring rain, but I didn’t. Here’s an image of the RFK (nee Triborough) Bridge captured with a very long Leica R lens adapted to my Sony 7Rmii.

By the way, I’ve been putting up two posts a day for a while, catching up from the period when I was in Japan, China and San Francisco. Today I’m officially caught up (only a week behind which his my usual process) so I can go back to posting once a day.

Out my window

Thursday February 12, 2015

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I had an inside day today with bad weather outside and a lot to do in front of a computer. This leaves three choices for my daily photo: an interior of our apartment, a close up detail, on an “out my window”. I guess a selfie or a picture of our dog would be possible but I’ve banned those subjects from these pages. And of course there is Maria but she get irritable when I sneak up on her with a camera. There was a light snow so I opted to shoot out the window. On the tag cloud on the administrator’s side of this website the word “snow” is getting bigger and bigger.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Francesca has a new hat. This and the Triborough Bridge shot at the golden hour (which is particularly golden this time of year) were shot with my Panasonic GH-2. This is my kit for snapshots and for long lenses.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – A rainy, miserable day.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – This morning there was a lovely sunrise but I was rushing to a breakfast meeting. I had the same infrared kit with me that had worked so well on Monday. When stepped out onto the street after the meeting it was heavily overcast – a disaster, or at least not what I was looking for. After struggling all day to find a potential image that interested me it started to snow and I got this out our window.  The Triborough Bridge at night.
