NEW YORK NEW YORK – Not a super good day. I’m having one of my occasional bouts of sciatic back pain. It actually appeared in my right leg this time. Exercise and anti-inflramitory drugs are the order of the day. I got my image for the day, but it’s not sensational.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I had one of those good days; the light here was sensational and the Dual Range Summicron lens from the late 1950s that was on my Monochrom performed flawlessly.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I found myself in Midtown in the early afternoon in amazing light. All images shot with my Leica Monochrom and Noctilux f.95 lens, mostly wide open.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – We had a period of very good light here this afternoon so I brought home a number of good images, shot with my Leica Monochrom. Fire escapes usually draw positive reactions on my Twitter feed. I’m showing three fire escapes today.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I spent a few hours today in good light shooting my Sony Alpha 7rii with thee excellent native Carl Zeiss lens. I actually like this combination a greet deal. I have it set up so that the view through the viewfinder is in black and white. Of course I have to covert the files to black and white in post, which adds significantly to processing time. The 42 meg files bring my older iMac in Connecticut to its knees. Overall a good day.
