NEW YORK NEW YORK – I’ve pointed out before that when the building we live in was built our apartment had a sweeping view of the East River. Now it’s a cityscape, an endlessly changing mosaic that I actually prefer. I explored it today with a long lens on my Leica Monochrom.

NEW YRO NEW YORK – A sick day at home today. I spent some time exploring out my window with the lovely Leica R 280mm on my Monochrom. This combination works very well together.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Looking out the window this evening I saw a lovely image of a fog shrouded moon – so I set up a tripod to shoot out the window with telephoto lens (the legendary Leica R 280mm). By the time I set up the fog had cleared so my original intent was lost, so to make a plausible image I was in the process planning a two image stitch to bring in the dark building next to the moon, when a helicopter flew through the frame and I captured it. Not a composite. Really.
