MANHATTAN – East 86th Street in heavy rain. The weather was terrible today. Then a back street in SoHo looking like these streets used to look before the area became a giant outside mall.

Day 3388 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – OK, OK. Ive shot the Papaya King in East 86th Street before. And does it really make sense in black and white given that we’re missing the egg-yolk yellow color. Here it is in any event. And another pinhole image from a year ago. Not every day in the photo-a-day world is equal.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – So on Tuesday, two days ago, I caught a shot with a very wide lens going up the steps at the subway stop at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue. Here’w what the same stop looks like from the outside – from the street – on another brilliantly sunny day. Taken with my Leica Monochrom and a 24mm Summilux lens.
