NEW YORK NEW YORK – Some days are better than others. This one one of them from the one photo every day perspective. I found a lot of images near Columbus Circle where I went for a doctor’s appointment. It’s very hard to edit them on short notice so I’m presenting multiple pictures here.

On this day two years ago (day 948): Eleventh Avenue Project. A year ago after a couple of weeks of planning and waiting for the right day I shot my Eleventh Avenue Project.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – We lent our apartment to our daughter, Francesca, for a party in honor of two of her friends who have achieved major life transitions. Of course Basil the Norwich Terrier was in attendance so here Francesca an he are, in blatant violation of my “no pictures of dogs” rule.

INTERSTATE 684 AND BEW YORK NEW YORK – A somewhat dreary day in Warren so we headed back to New York early. Here are a couple of stops along the way – one at a rest stop on 684 and the other at a stop light next to the abutment for for Willis Avenue Bridge.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – I shot wide today. Early spring is winding down here but the light is lovely.

On this day two years ago (day 579): North Woods, Central Park. I reviews May 17, 2011 as I prepared this post and concluded that I liked one of the outtakes better than I like the image I posted. Here you go:

NEW YORK NEW YORK – A day of running around on business and various errands. I tried shooting out of the windows of the various cabs that I took, while they were stopped or sufficiently slowed in traffic to permit decent image quality. As always shooting with my Leica Monochrom and 50mm Luxochron lens.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I shot out my window today with a long lens, a Leica R 280mm APO, adapted for my Leica M. It’s essentially perfect. I’ve converted the images for today into black and white. I almost never shoot long lenses – this is a rare exception.

On this day last year (day 1,308): No dogs. I generally avoid pets and babies, but here is an exception.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – This is one of those days that I worry about. Am I phoning it in? Lip syncing? Engaged in a major self-deception. Alexander and I went to a Mets game at Citi Field, but my camera felt like a millstone. Forced a few shots. Ugh.

On this day two years ago (day 942): On the fringe of DC. Here’s a part of DC that doesn’t have a name. I had second thoughts after posting about using this iPhone image in color. Here I’ve done a different crop and converted to grayscale.
