NEW YORK NEW YORK – I went out with my Sony A7riii today and the very good Sony 70-200mm f2.8 zoom. Optically this is a brilliant lens but its not very useful in my photo a day project. It’s gigantic, heavy, and its off white color calls attention to itself. Not a great day but the images turned out ok.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – A poor light day here. I flew my new drone again and got a more appealing angle on our pool construction. I’m relearning how to fly this thing.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – Out with my drone today – the new version of the DJI Mavic that has a Hasselblad branded camera. The camera is materially better than the first model – I’ll be working with it a bit to get to know its capabilities.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – I drove up here to face the aftermath of a serious windstorm. There was a major tree down blocking access on our road, which meant a half mile hike to the house. No big deal.

BUSHWICK BROOKLYN – So Brooklyn is its own country – we came out to Bushwick for a benefit for Creativetime – Bushwick is really industrial, with only the slightest signs of gentrification. Shot with my Sony a7riii – eye autofocus and good high ISO count for a lot in these circumstances. This from the after party.

WINGDALE and MANHATTAN – I was all over the place today, driving up to Warren CT to run an errand in the town hall (which is only open Monday-Thursday when we normally aren’t there) and then back to New York.

MANHATTAN – It’s Halloween here on the Upper East Side. Not much going on – I’m feeling dull.
