The morning found me on Madison Avenue near home in the 90s running errands; lunchtime found us in Marble Dale stopped for a burger at a local roadside joint named Clamps. No McDonald’s here! Lovely light in both place captured with my Leica Monochrom and Luxochron lens.

CHICAGO ILLINOIS – Still here, but rushing to get back to New York between thunderstorms. We stayed at a boutique hotel on the gold coast, so I spent some time exploring local alleys. This is expensive real estate. Odd that Chicago hasn’t put the utilities underground.

NEW YOR NEW YORK – There was really good light on Broadway today. I hung out in the mid-60s for a couple of hours with my Leica Monochrom.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I ran into my friend Tom Barry in front of the Colony Club; I found myself on the sidewalk in front of the Ferrari store on Park Avenue, where a 1961 California Spyder (perhaps the most beautiful car ever made) was parked next to the curb; and I found myself on Sixth Avenue looking up. Hard to decide so here you go with all three, all taken with my Leica Monochrom and a 50mm Luxochron lens.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I really need to get out of Manhattan to freshen up my perspective. We’ve got a trip planned to Chicago for the weekend – maybe that will do the job.
