ARLES FRANCE – A day of sensational light here. I’ve had trouble editing down to a single image for the day so here are four.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – What a miserable day. We were caught in epic traffic going to JFK to leave for Europe, and missed our flight. This is an absolute first for us, not to be repeated. We managed to reschedule on the same flight on July 16, and came back home tired and out of sorts. We will be starting our trip in Arles, France, staying with friends, and this means that they have had to cancel our first day of activities. Ugh.
An image from Madison Avenue near home stocking up on stuff.
Day 2464 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

On this day five years ago (day 638): Goodnight Moon. Translated from color.

BOSTON MASSACHUSETS – Day two here. Again I had a chance to get out in good light with my Leica Monochrom. Both images are taken with my 50mm “rigid” Summicron lens.

On this day six years ago (day 272) I was also in Boston: Bus Station

BOSTON MASSACHUSETS – I had a good morning walking what used to be a South Boston no man’s land to what used to be the center of Boston’s financial district.
