NEW YORK NEW YORK – We’re here this weekend, unusually. We had some social commitments in New York which very much tied us up. I fooled around again with my Leica 280 mm R lens on my Leica T. Here’s a close up of Maria. Again, this combination works very well.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – We stayed in New York this weekend to attend Baby Victoria’s first birthday party. This has been a week of portentious anniversaries. I have a rule against posting cute kids but today will be an exception.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – While waiting on the 53rd Street Station for the E train (which is depressingly far under ground) I heard the sound of “Amazing Grace” being played on a bagpipe. I walked the length of the platform to investigate and found, rather than a ruddy Scot campaigning for succession, a wan, very sick-looking, young man. Here he is.

NEW YORK NY and ANNISQUAM MA – We started this morning in meetings in midtown where I had a chance to catch a moment of transcendent light on Park Avenue. Followed by a long drive to Anniscquam and a pre-wedding party. What a day.
