RALEIGH NORTH CAROLINA – I’m here on business so get prepared for a rough patch in the daily photo scene. Traveling with my Leica Monochrom, but shooting a lot between meetings with my iPhone.

Day 1,915 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – The wasn’t much opportunity for psychic focus on photography today – my attention was diverted to preparations for some client meeting that start tomorrow and preparations for our departure to India on Friday of next week. Also, the light here was flat and dull. I ended up experimenting with some “shoot up” angles, clearly not as interesting here as in Manhattan.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Here is another exercise in looking up. Neither my best nor my worst. Typical nice winter light on Park Avenue. I’ve decided to give my 28mm Summicron lens a little bit of exercise. It’s a bit too wide for this style of shooting which depends on stitching multiple images to achieve large-format resolution; this type of image has very little impact if it’s small.

BANTAM CONNECTICUT – I shot around an abandoned factory here today with my Carl Zeiss 1945 Sonnar lens. There’s a bit urgency to this: Bantam is enjoying a real revival; the abandoned factor is actually in an early state of restoration.

BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS – This started as a travel day with a trip here from New York. You may remember that travel days aren’t my best: the hassles of travel make it difficult for me to concentrate on the visual. I ended up shooting a picture of my iPad with my iPhone. It’s not Caravaggio but it keeps the string alive.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Still shooting the Noctilux, mostly wide open. Today I’m out with a 1.8 neutral density filter (six f-stops of darkening) which lets me shoot wide open on this sunny day. Here we go with a fairly common subject for me, two frames stitched.
