PINE PLAINS NEW YORK – We visited the house here of a recently deceased friend. We found this in a pergola up a hill from the house: a famous quote from Philip Larkin’s poem “An Arundel Tomb”.

BALDWIN NEW YORK – I drove out here today to retrieve the ashes of a dear friend from a crematorium so I could send them on their way with her sister. Tough day.

On this day three years ago (day 1025): Look up! I shot this with an odd little lens – a tiny triplet called a Perar 35. An odd juxtaposition with today’s events.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I took a long walk today on the Hudson River and through Central Park past the Museum of Natural History. I managed to make contact with my mojo from a photo standpoint, after a bit of a dry spell yesterday.
