NEW YORK NEW YORK – This is another very cold day with nice light. I’m posting three images, not because they are all terrific, but because I couldn’t decide. In general I try to explore eight or ten image ideas every day, which results in 30-50 images as I walk around each subject trying on different angles and framings. Editing is a serious chore.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – For some reason today I’ve developed a Zen relationship with the ever-present snow. I’ll be surprised if this doesn’t go down in history as the coldest and most snow-covered February in this area in decades.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Another day in the southern regions of an Arctic airmass. I find myself bringing home images of the 432 Park pencil tower, whether I intend to or not.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – From a visual standpoint the recent run of savage weather here has created a real winter playground, but I’m getting tired of it. Call it windchill fatigue. I tried to shake things up today by digging out my superwide 15mm Carl Zeiss superlens. It’s ok but doesn’t do much to hide my disgust with my surroundings.
