NEW YORK NEW YORK – Another busy work week so I’m catching pictures as I can as I make my way around Manhattan.
Day 1,593 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.

On this day three years ago: Central Park Reservoir.

Day 1,593 of one picture every day for the rest of my life.

On this day three years ago: Central Park Reservoir.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – The weather is getting to me. A blah image on Park Avenue.
Day 1,590 of one photograph a day for the rest of my life.

On this day four years ago: Walpack Arts Center. An odd, tiny building photographed in infrared.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Looking up on Park Avenue.
Day 1,589 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

On this day two years ago: Range light. Looks like we have a theme today of long, skinny images.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – More dirty snow taken with my infrared camera. This time there are some flying rats in the picture, working their way through the debris. Not my best photograph every.
Day 1,588 in my series of one photograph a day for the rest of my life.

On this day four years ago: Pinhole image.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – A clear day at last but I’m not fully in the moment so blah images. I sometimes shoot infrared in the winter – rarely in the summer because I don’t like the white leaves effect. Here’s an “out my window” with a digital camera that I had modified a few years ago so that it sees infrared only.
Day 1,586 of at least one photograph a day for the rest of my life.

On this day two years ago: Gasparilla Island.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Well this certainly has been . . . winter. Winters are quite variable here. This one has been tough – one major storm after another. We’re not giving up and moving to Costa Rica yet, but the challenges of moving around in a large city in appalling weather kind of wear on you. This is shooting up Lexington Avenue in a blizzard, and looking West from our offices.

On this day two years ago: Big Girl.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Some day. I got up bizarrely early to go to a meeting that started at 7:00 AM and actually ended at 9:30 PM. I decided to walk to it, despite the bitter cold, because walking would be my only chance at exercise, and walking presented the possibility of getting my daily photo done in the dark. I went to my office first and saw a nice dawn breaking across Manhattan so I captured it, fulfilling my daily photo obligation early. On the short walk from the meeting to its continuation at dinner at the Four Seasons I managed to find a new (to me) angle on the rat at Lever House. Not great but an accomplishment under the circumstances.
Day 1,580 without a break of at least one photo a day every day for the rest of my life.

On this day last year: Fog. Yeah, another “fog” but this one is really elegant. A favorite.
