NEW YORK NEW YORK – I spent a few hours on this uninspiring gray day wandering the streets of Midtown looking up. I’ve posted the best of the lot below.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Here’s another look up. This one a straight up with a wide lens, into a high, bright sky – not the best conditions for landscape. Today is another rushed day so this is one of few images that I had to select from.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – An uninspiring day for uninspiring pictures. These seemed like a couple of “more of the same” images as I processed them, but up on the web they look ok to me. Who knows. Some of the images that I have felt the least conviction about have turned out to be widely like (and vice versa for sure).

NEW YORK NEW YORK – A beautiful, clear, but very cold day. A nice day to photograph Manhattan and get numb fingers and toes in the process. I’m continuing to work well in black and white – the photo-a-day-for-the-rest-of-my-life project has really helped me achieve greater clarity and consistency in my work. Still relying on the Leica Monochrom as my primary camera.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I spend a lot of time looking up here. Why don’t more people do this? What you see sometimes amazes. Today “amazes” maybe an overstatement but a not bad image as I was emerging from the subway at 51st Street and Lexington Avenue. Taken with my Leica Monochrom camera and Leica 24mm Summilux lens.
