WARREN CONNECTICUT – This is one of the first time’s that I’ve actually felt good about images from the Northeastern deciduous forrest. I’ve been struggle with this landscape for a while – it requires a completely different approach than the Western landscape that I grew up in. Today I got close and embraced details that convey a sense of mass and foreboding, and used selective focus. I’m also using on camera fill flash. You’ll see more like these.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – If you’ve been following these pages you’ve seen that I’ve been struggling with the Eastern deciduous landscape for most of my life. This weekend I had an epiphany/ Embrace it. Get close to the stones, because they are everywhere and defining. The are the reason that people moved West from here as soon as they could.
