NEW YORK NEW YORK – I spent the morning at Maria’s office refreshing her and others’ headshots. Originals in color.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Housebound today because of work commitments – I shot some closeups with my Sony a7rii and thee macro lens that I use to “scan” film negatives.

THE BRONX NEW YORK and NEW MILFORD CONNECTICUT – I drove up to Warren today to drop off our dogs (since Maria and I will be traveling in the next week), stopping in The Bronx to catch a warehouse and in New Milford to catch some flags. I’m shooting film today in my Leica M7 and medium format Mamiya 7 II – in both cases I’m shooting Ilford PanF Plus. Developing and scanning add several hours per roll to my workflow, but well worth it when I have time.

On this day last year (day 2,578): Strange stuff in a barn. Back to digital here – shot with my Sony A7rii and converted to black and white.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – Another film day. I’m shooting with a Mamiya 7 and 43mm superwide lens (which is equivalent to and actually based on the design of the Hasselblad Superwide), one of the best wide lenses ever. I’m experimenting with film types – today I’m shooting with Ilford PanF Plus, which is nearly grainless on the Mamiya’s 6×7 cm negative. I’m also shooting with a Leica M7, which I will either keep or not once my M3 comes back from the shop where it is getting an overhaul.
I’m loving the tonality of these images. Pedestrian subjects are made special.
