HARRISON NEW JERSEY – Alexander Campbell’s new home is here in Harrison, which is just across the Passaic River from Newark. We went to dinner at a restaurant near the Path station and were entertained by a . . . piper. Whatever.

BANTAM CONNECTICUT – Tough day. Our 15-year-old Norwich Terrier, Basil, finally could no longer stand on his own so it was time to put him down. Here he is in his peaceful last sleep. Rest in Peace, Basil.

MANHATTAN – Yesterday was consequential. A daughter was born to our daughter and son-in-law. So here she is. Our new granddaughter. One day old Georgina. Welcome to the world. It’s a tough place.
