MANHATTAN – Today there was a partial solar eclipse here. We had considered driving to Syracuse to catch the totality, but the weather forecast was mixed and it’s a long way, so I stayed in NYC.

So the subject today is New Yorkers watching the partial eclipse.

Day 5289 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

Even more eclipse

In August 2017 we traveled to South Carolina to photograph an eclipse with a 3″ Astro-Physics refracting telescope, a heavy equatorial mount and serious cameras. This is what we captured – the final image is built up from 10 exposure-bracketed images. Day 2863 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
