BIARRITZ – We made the one hour drive here this morning from San Sebastian – a very easy day trip. The weather was overcast and rainy (commonplace here) but we had a lovely lunch at a fish place by the beach. kWe were back in San Sebastian for an early evening stroll through the old town.

MALLORCA – Another day in Spain. Today we took a hike in heavy overcast weather that led us through a string of villages to the picturesque small town of Sóller. We should do this type of route more often. Then lunch with some friends.

MADRID – A sensational day walking around here. Boy has Madrid improved its game. Lively. Colorful. Fabulous food. We’re only here a day on our way to elsewhere, but we’ll return.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I did some shopping and organization for our trip to Spain today, but found a few hours in the afternoon to explore Central Park. Nothing terrific here.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – We had a Brooklyn day today – I met Francesca on Remsen Street with her architect to work out some details of her renovation. Then a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and a subway home.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – I spent the afternoon in dull light in The Village and ended up with very little. Poor light days are a serious problem in the one-photo-every-day profession.
