NEW YORK NEW YORK – this post is dated March 14 but as is typically the case I’m actually writing this about a week later (it takes me that long to edit, upload and write a post). My web hosting service, Bluehost, had had some major service issues this week and last week (including a couple of periods of total shutdowns). They now appear to have things under control. I apologize for any bad experience that you may have had in terms of page loading times and so on.
I went out today with my Leica S and a 35mm lens. This is four frames stitched, with a lot of overlap. This is the Municipal Asphalt Plant, an architectural icon that now serves as an indoor swimming pool. As you can see it is being renovated.

BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS – Today we’re having a Beantown extravaganza. There was interesting light, at last. I made my way around the center of Boston with my Leica Monochrom and 18mm Super Elmar lens. At last some decent images. Here you go:
On this day last year: Boston. I was in Boston on this same date last year. I seem to be experiencing time a a wheel rather than an arrow.
WARREN CONNECTICUT – Out with my Leica Monochrom the day after a heavy snowfall. Images are self-explanitory.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Around this time last year we had a heavy snow storm. Today we’re having . . . a heavy snow storm. Early March isn’t quite Spring here in the Northeastern US. Four frames stitched taken with my Leica Monochrom and 135mm lens.
On this day last year: Here I am shooting street stuff with my Alpa. Probably not that good of an idea.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – Not much going on today visually in my life. Walking home from the office I worked on generating some abstractions from Bloomingdale’s facade. Taken with my Leica Monochrom and 1945 50mm f1.5 Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar lens. The out of focus points of light are rendered by the Sonnar as little doughnuts. I’m not certain why.
On this day last year: I can shoot in color. I just don’t do it that often.
GASPARILLA ISLAND FLORIDA – Some days are better than others. This is one of the better days. I walked around what is now pretty familiar territory getting closer to some of the local landscape. Seaside is always a challenge, because in a very fundamental way it all looks the same. I was productive enough that I thought that today warrants a mini gallery. Maybe it’s just an editing failure on my part. All images with my Leica Monochrom with 18mm Super Elmar lens. The first image is three frames stitched.
