WARREN CONNECTICUT – I was correcting a typo in the original version of the post for this day and for some reason lost it entirely. So here I go to reproduce it. A friend dropped by today in her lovely vintage Nash Metropolitan. Here it is.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – Tonight Lake Waramaug celebrated the Forth of July weekend with fireworks. The image below is actually a composite of three groups of fireworks. We saw the display from directly across the lake from where the display was launched at a boathouse belonging to our friends Doug and Judy Hamilton.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Where to start? I found myself today in the West Village in brilliant early evening light and got many interesting images (revisiting some sites that I’ve long been interested in). Then at cocktails for the Center for Fiction. I’ve had a lot of trouble editing.

BOISE IDAHO – Yes, you read that correctly. I’m in Boise to pick up a Norwich Terrier puppy, Otis – returning to New York on the same day. Here’s Otis captured with my iPhone.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Hard to know what this is: a piece of junk or a valuable picture. I found it stood up on Park Avenue, apparently unattended. Shot with my Leica Monochrom and 50mm “rigid” Summicton lens from 1962.

NORTHVILLE CONNECTICUT and NEW YORK NEW YORK – Today I captured what looks like an abandoned farm stand using HDR and stitching techniques – this is the technically the best image possible for this mundane subject. Driving back to New York our nav system took us on a circuitous route through Northern Manhattan to avoid traffic. I was stopped in traffic often enough to snag some storefronts.
