BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS – I’m here for some meetings today so I grabbed a few images on the fly.
Day 2224 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day two years ago (day 1494): Foggy day in Connecticut
NEW YORK NEW YORK – In a rush again. This is the beginning of a week of around the clock work for me, so I’ll be fitting images in around the edges of the rest of my life.
Day 2223 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day two years ago (day 1493): Look up!
WARREN CONNECTICUT – I love this time of year here. The color is gone. The landscape is buttoned down for the winter with the soft perennials cut back to the earth and leaves pilled making leaf mulch for future use. It feels thrifty and fugal. The view is monochrome, which resonates with my way of seeing. The deciduous forrest has become transparent, opening sight lines.
Day 2222 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life. One of the magical-seeming numbers. Day 2222 didn’t feel different that any other.
On this day last year (day 1857): First snow
NEW YORK NEW YORK – I spent a few hours today in good light shooting my Sony Alpha 7rii with thee excellent native Carl Zeiss lens. I actually like this combination a greet deal. I have it set up so that the view through the viewfinder is in black and white. Of course I have to covert the files to black and white in post, which adds significantly to processing time. The 42 meg files bring my older iMac in Connecticut to its knees. Overall a good day.
Day 2220 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day last year (day 1855): Noctilux
NEW YORK NEW YORK – Veterans Day. There is an annual parade up Fifth Avenue. Here’s the NYPD marching band as well as some typical (for me) street stuff, including an entry for my ongoing alleys project. Today I’m back to shooting my Leica Monochrom and Luxocron lens.
Day 2218 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day last year (day 1853): Calder
NEW YORK NEW YORK – Happy Birthday to the United States Marine Corps.
Today I explored grids. Needless to say they are everywhere. The images of the subway grating and sculpture are with my iPhone; the Seagrams Building and Citicorp with my Leica Monochrom.
Day 2217 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day last year (day 1852): Empire State Building
