ANTIGUA – There’s actually a rainforest on this island – we plan on exploring it in more depth on our next trip here a month from now.  Shot with my Leica Monochrom and 50mm Summicron Asp. lens wide open.  The second image is three frames stitched.

ANTIGUA – A full day of photography, but mostly pretty predictable images. I did some work close up which I liked. Here you go. All taken with my Leica Monochrom.

ANTIGUA – My photo-a-day project was helped along today by an absolutely Biblical sky a bit after sunrise. Shot with my Leica Monochrom and 21mm Super-Elmar lens. Two frames stitched.

ANTIGUA – We watched the start of the annual RORC Caribbean 600 race from a friend’s house. Amazingly the fastest boats, high tech multihulls, cover 600 miles in under 24 hours. The sails are black because they are made of Kevlar. Also images at the beach. I’m shooting my Leica Monchrom and 50mm Summicron Asp. with a neutral density filter so I can shoot wide open.

ANTIGUA – This is a tropical paradise.  Really.  No irony today.  I’ll be spending the next few days getting close.  I’m shooting with a neutral density filter so I can run my Leica Summicron Asp. lens wide open to take advantage if its lovely rendering.

NEW YORK NEW YORK and ANTIGUA – A travel day – not usually my best. I caught good light in our apartment before we left, and some sea grapes and a tree at dusk in Antigua. The tropics are a major challenge for me: how many ways can you photograph a palm tree. The solution clearly is to get out into the community which we’ll try to get a start at this trip. Shooting with my Leica Monochrom and 50mm Summicron Asp lens.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – A day in Tribeca with my Leica Monochrom and 50mm FLE lens.  It was very, very cold: the wind off of the Hudson River is savage.  The Hudson River Park here is lovely but uninhabitable in the winter.  The second image, “Marine Repair”, is two frames stitched in Photoshop.
