NEW YORK NEW YORK = The weather has perked up a bit – not nearly as cold. I got out with my Sony A7riii and a 55mm Zeiss lens. Both of these images are three frames stitched.
Day 3,008 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this date exactly three years ago (day 1,912): Central Park
MANHATTAN NEW YORK – I spent this morning in the vicinity of New York Hospital in a blizzard – a poor day for humans but excellent for photography. All images taken with Sony A7Riii and lovely 25mm f2.0 Carl Zeiss lens.
Day 3003 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life. A palindrome!
On this day last year (day 2638): A very special bottle of wine. I mean vey special. It drank marvelously – still maintaining some front after 50+ years in the bottle.
MANHATTAN NEW YORK – I shot around home today in the courtyard of our building and on upper Park Avenue. I noticed that the corner stone on the Brick Presbyterian Church seems to have suffered serious weather damage. Shooting with my Sony A7Riii and Carl Zeiss 25mm f2.0 lens. Black and white conversions using my proprietary formula.
Day 3002 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
On this day five years ago (day 1,176): Lipstick building Taken with my Leica Monochrom and 1945 vintage 5cm Carl Zeiss Jena lens.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – Much better light in Manhattan than yesterday so I’m feeling a bit better about this project. Shot with my Sony A7Riii and 55mm Zeiss f1.8 lens. The third image below is three frames stitched, a technique that I use like a zoom lens (to effectively zoom out to wider focal lengths.
Day 3,001 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
NEW YORK NEW YORK – We drove back to town on New Years Day. Visually a dull day – an inauspicious start to the New Year.
I’m still shooting my Sony A7Riii. The exercise that I went through a few weeks ago (shooting film and the Sony in parallel and then working out a set of black and white conversion actions in Adobe Lightroom) is a great success – I’m getting very good, film like, black and white out of the process.
Day 3,000 of one photograph every day. That’s right. Starting the New Year at 3,000. I’ve gotten a bit behind on posting because frankly it’s boring – but I have been taking a picture every day.
