WARREN CONECTICUT – I shot around our garden here today, which is generally naturalized rather than formal, given our true country setting.

MANHATTAN – Still shooting with my black and white converted Sony A7Rii and a 25mm Zeiss Batis lens. I shoot Grand Central Terminal every time I pass through it – roughly weekly.

MANHATTAN – I’m now shooting regularly with my Sony A7rii that has been converted to black and white imaging by removing its Bayer filter. This plus some specialized image processing effectively double the resolution of this camera to 84 megs -far into medium format land. This only works with the very best lenses – lenses that perform well at 42 megs resolution don’t necessarily look great with resolution doubled. The Zeiss 25mm Batis lens that I’m shooting with today is more than up to the task. More on these topics as I develop more experience with this camera.

COLLEGE POINT NEW YORK – College point is actually a neighborhood in Queens. It’s out beyond the end of the subway system. It’s a finger of land tucked between the Whitestone Bridge and flushing Bay; Laguardia Airport is just across Flushing Bay. It should have grand exposures to the bay and the East River but large industrial complexes and condo developments generally cut off access to the water. Anyway we had good light so this is what it looks like.

WARREN CONNECTICUT – It’s late Spring here with lovely light; the shadows are still transparent as the new leaves are light and translucent. I’m shooting ultra wide with my Sony 12-24 zoom, a space that I’m very comfortable in.

MANHATTAN – Shooting around our apartment today. I’ve included an image of a Chihuly work and and image of a light fixture, both taken with my Sony A7riii camera and the excellent Sony 90mm Macro lens.
