WASHINGTON CONNECTICUT – Here’s a martini, ordered, consumed (but not by me) and photographed at the Waramaug Club. This is the second or third time that I’ve shot a martini close up in this project. The images was taken with my iPhone and the framing was a bit rough, so I used AI to recrop the image at the margins. Can you tell where?

Looking back ten years to September 14, 2015: I was in Tokyo on business with little time for photography so I snapped the Tokyo skyline from a window at the Hotel New Otani where I was staying. I lost track of where this was taken from so I uploaded the image the ChatGPT, which was able to identify the hotel (this corresponds to my faded recollection). THE BRONX, NEW YORK – I took the subway today to explore the Mott Haven neighborhood in The Bronx. I was attracted to the area by BBQ restaurant on Bruckner Boulevard, where I had lunch. This is the area where Sherman McCoy had his car problem in Tom Wolfe’s novel, Bonfire of the Vanities.
