WARREN CONNECTICUT – A picture of a picture: a Jacques Lartigue image of golf at Biarritz. Lartigue was 10 or 12 years old when he captured this. A lifelong amateur photographer, Lartigue was discovered by John Szarkowski in the 1960s; Szarkowski mounted a major retrospective on Lartigue at MoMA. Lartigue’s early photos brilliantly document the life of the French upper classes in the Belle Époque.
Day 5,996 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
Day 5,996 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.

Looking back three years to the Central Park Reservoir. I returned to this spot multiple times looking for exactly this, which I finally captured. Day 4,900 of one photograph every day for the rest of my life.
