NEW YORK NEW YORK – We trekked down to the Benrubi Gallery (newly relocated to West 26th Street) for the opening of a show of work from India by our old friend Laura McPhee. Coincidentally Benrubi also had up a room full of gold printing out prints by Linda Connor. Linda has used the last of this paper in the world to print this show so we bought one. Images below are the pictures that we’re bringing home.

On this day four years ago (day 744): Blizzard This is an example of the weird (climate-wise) area that we live in. Today it’s shirtsleeve weather – actually balmy. Four years ago there was a blizzard.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – Here’s a picture of a picture taken with my Leica Monochrom and Nocitlux lens. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

NEW YORK NEW YORK – More of the same. Two images of sunlight showing up in strange places causing me to take a fresh look at familiar places taken with my Sony NEX=7.

Later in the afternoon a storm passed over creating serious drama out my dining room window. Captured with my Alpa TC, Phase One digital back and 32mm Rodenstock lens.

BROOKLYN NEW YORK – My friend and Yale classmate Ted Shen held a reception at his house in Brooklyn Heights for photographer David Michalek. It was a brilliant afternoon (actually overcast – I’m referring to the people). I used the opportunity to walk 30 yards to the Esplanade and capture an images of the Wall Street skyline to use as a banner for my blog. All images taken with my Sony Nex-7 camera and a 35mm Leica Summilux lens.
