MANHATTAN – It’s Halloween here on the Upper East Side. Not much going on – I’m feeling dull.

HOPEWELL JUNCTION NEW YORK – While driving up to Pine Plains I spotted this house covered with pumpkins. Stitched from 6 frames taken with my Leica Monochrom and90mm lens. The second image is the same house, taken with a 24mm Summilux lens, two frames stitched and distortion corrected.

On this day last year (day 1845): Francesca makes a plan. A year later she’s moved into the apartment that she was planning work on in this image.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – We went to a terrific Halloween party at Susanna Lea’s house – a good sized party with all ages, from newborns to, well, me. This is exactly where we were one year ago – same party and most of the same people. Here’s an image of one of the children at the party, taken with my Nikon D700.

As noted above on this date one year ago we are at Susanna’s house for a Halloween party: Susanna and Ingrid Betancourt

Here’s a link to the Wikipedia entry for Ingrid Betancourt. Interestingly when you enter “Ingrid B” as a Google search term she comes up first on the drop-down menu, ahead of Ingrid Bergman. Here’s Ingrid this year:

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – This is a poor day for photographing and for photographs.  New York is heavily overcast.  The light is heavy, without any charm or grace.  I’m rushing around to prepare for a trip to Oregon.  While walking on the Upper East Side I saw this precursor to Halloween.  It’s odd because the building is unoccupied; it has a number of building permits posted on it, as well as a stop work order.  Carpenters with a childish bent?
